Nolen Greenhouses, Day 1

New rotation is working in the Nolen Greenhouses.  I’m working with Luis, and today we watered, made “G” mix, potted on Agapanthus, then pinched mums.  Quite exciting, and a much slower pace than turf and grounds.  Sharita was tieing mums to a frame that was pretty awesome to see – doing mums for the Kiku show would drive me absolutely bonkers with the detail needed.

“G” (Garbage) Mix:

5 bags pine nuggets; 2 bushels compost; 1 lb Plant Tone; 1/2 bushel perlite.

And don’t forget to moisten the perlite!.. you don’t want to breathe that. And deadhead the Agapanthus…
